I am a bit of a marvel comic fan and was dissapointed with the last spiderman film. The hulk and fantastic four were terrible. and if you can get over the vampire theme the Blade films arent too bad.
but the last stand was superb.. Storm even gets some lines. Kelsey Grammer was brilliant as the beast.
the main problem i had with it was Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut
apart from that, Fantastic

Am hopefully seeing it tonight. Agree on Juggernaut from what I've seen on the trailer, he needs to be much much bigger. Didn't mind the Hulk. Worst Marvel movie so far has to be Daredevil. He's my favourite Marvel character and that film did no justice to the murky darkness of his world. And Ben Affleck is a bit of a knob really. As for Kelsey Grammer as The Beast, he looked a bit rubbish on the trailer but I'll reserve judgement until I see the film.
Oh Jeez, I've just totally fessed up to being a Marvel geek haven't I? I used to spend all my pocket money on comics and stil have a Spiderman quilt cover knocking around somewhere.

I didn't mind Xmen: The Last Stand and in places I really rather enjoyed it.
There's very little you can say about this movie without spoiling the plot so this'll be short and to the point.
1. It's really good fun 2. Better than the original not as good as the sequel 3. Totally messes with the comic book characters and stories so pretend it's an alternate universe or something if you're a comic book fan 4. HOWEVER the careless treatment of the deaths of major characters is very poorly exceuted
The effects are magnificent and most of the acting good too (except the appalling Halle Berry and Vinnie Jones).
I'd say a good 3 out of 5 (Worth seeing!)

Sorry to disagree, but I thought X3 was bollocks.
In the last two we had some well-pulled-off adaptations and - with the exception of Halle Berry - some really superb all-rounded characters and plotlines. Losing Bryan Singer as a director and getting two morons in to write the script for X3 utterly killed the trilogy, though. Magneto goes from being an inventive genius - "I know, I'll extract the iron from someone's blood and compress it into tiny balls which shoot out and impale people's eyes and then return to me and flatten into a levitating disc and fly away" - to Mr. "I'll throw a bunch of cars at people". And Pyro has the delightful job of setting fire to all the cars. meh. Cyclops didn't even die, he just disappeared in a kinda 'maybe we'll bring him back if we can squeeze out an X4' stunt and Jean Grey's character was effectively USELESS. She stands around doing NOTHING the entire movie, then right at the end destroys the entire world. Wolverine then marches up to her, declares "I love you" then - despite having hundreds of mutant curing vials - decides to ignore them and kills her. I hate movies that are poorly explained and make no sense.
and any director that lets Vinnie Jones onto a movie like that needs to be shot on principle.
Oh btw - make sure you stay till after the credits! (the same goes for Pirates of the Caribbean)
