It was only out last year or something but I'd forgotten how good this album is. The singer's voice is pretty amazing - especially on 'The Rat' where he sounds like he's losing his mind, and possibly kicking some random object round the room.

Damn you Mike Mantin!

I thought I'd managed to wean myself off BSP's new album with heavy doses of Brendan Benson's newie (exellent as you'd expect), but after you posted about it yesterday I'm back on a twice daily habit.

I think I'm infactuated with 'Please Stand Up'. When I'm not listening to it, I'm thinking about it, about how long it will be till I listen to it again. I'm humming the guitar line now.

Now and then a song comes along and gives me this sort of feeling. It's hard to describe but it's like a kind of strange whirring in my stomach, tingling spine, static on my hair. I get it when I hear the opening notes of 'This Charming Man', the riff from 'Paranoid Android', the bassline of 'She's Lost Control' and the quick fire drums from Keith Moon before the chorus of 'I Can't Explain', and I get it all the way through 'Please Stand Up'

I hope other people have this sort of feeling about some songs
