Deptford X exists to promote the best contemporary visual art and celebrate that art with the widest possible audience ? it is an arts event born of Deptford’s creative community and based on a belief in the limitless potential of the area.
Deptford X 2006
Deptford X is a major contemporary visual arts festival, which will take place from 24th November to 4th December 2006, with a launch event on Thursday 23rd November.
There will be a range of exhibitions at venues throughout Deptford from small shops to large gallery spaces.
A majority of the artists taking part in the festival will come form the Deptford area, which is a designated London Creative Hub. Deptford also contains one of the highest concentrations of visual artists anywhere in the UK.
