Touring with the Nebraskans was a grand experience...I most fondly remember me and Mike pissing the whole van off on the way back from a show by singing Elliott Smith songs with an acoustic as it was the 1st anniversary of beautiful Elliott's death...
Stax and myself go back a fair way,we met not long after C:B got together and started gigging in London...many's the evening we've spent in a Soho drinkery discussing the effects of bass strings on capitalist society...actually that's a lie,we usually talk about people we don't like and crap 1980's footballers.

the bands are still in touch they made friday swing. nebraska were on stage and the six string bar was going mental and c:b were on the decks and helen riot star was on the mike

i have a vision of mike n dexy after reading on elliot smith night and theres a pic somewhere of both bands together on brighton beach, somewhere from november that could be a family of escaped degenerates

glad everybody is still having fun together though and yes they do share some fans, mind you i think everybody on the underground crosses over, both bands played the cardiff gspot events too. and nearly everybody loves football too.
