If I'm not mistaken, about halfway down this article, a member of this little old forum has been interviewed about the Arctic Monkey's:

laugh.gif Madness.Good article someone here should do an article upon how the net/grassroots is changing the way people hear about new bands/artists, its an interesting area.

I'm writing a media essay on it at the moment. It's a bit too academical as it is, but once I'm finished I could possibly change it to be a bit easier going and put it on the site.

B1oodFlower- 12-23-2005
Sounds good mate if you need a hand in making it more readable as a editorial piece let me know.

Love_Libs- 12-23-2005
He sold out, man!

On Liam's point, I would be hesitant about putting any academic work online because it becomes very easy to plagiarise since, no offence, you're hardly going to be a port of call for people checking it!
On the other hand, if you handed it in and put it online, and they found it online, it might land you in a spot of bother trying to explain how your last essay is word for word the same as a piece on a reviews site...?!

B1oodFlower- 12-23-2005
good point but if he changes it so that its almost unrecognisable to the academic version then I wouldn't see the problem.
Also there is a disclaimer on the site about all work being copyright so any bastard steals it they will be sued! heh

alexliamw- 12-24-2005
Is it actually copyright, though? Have you registered it?

B1oodFlower- 12-24-2005
No but a lawyer friend of mine told me that if I put up that warning then people would be on rocky ground if they tried to plagerise material on the site.

Not that I would ever have the money to sue anyone or anything... laugh.gif

That's what I thought but then if he did that, the amouhnt of editing he'd have to do would almost equate to writing to things! laugh.gif

Oh my. I googled 'Queueman' out of sheer curiosity and I found this thread.

Sorry for the horrendously ancient bump, I could actually feel the dust falling from the 'reply' button when I started typing these very words.

I'd be suprised if any of the people who replied to this thread originally still post on here!

Anyways, yes, I sold out. I'm now much less of a naive kid and I live a happy little life if anyone cares..

I hope everyone is dandy and happy.
