Over the last few years the Orange club has been in sharp decline. A lack of support and neglect by various managers and an antiquated pay to play system for bands has given the venue a bad reputation and caused it to reach the point of near closure.
Now under new management and with a new promoter in place it is ready to emerge like a phoenix from the flames.
It has undergone a mini make over thanks to Peafish Promotions and will re launch on Friday 8th September with a party featuring the cult classics Dr Feelgood with support from fabulous young blues rockers Vulnerable Things and Trad Arr who feature ex Wolfhound members as well as the Rabbi of Libertines fame.. The fun will continue until 2am with Peafish quirky rock DJs Kelda and Joe until 2am.
The venue is to be re-launched as a weekly rock club featuring live acts and rock DJs every weekend.
Fridays and Saturdays will see the birth of ATOMIC a night club with a main stream rock and indie feel. It will feature live rock acts and rock DJs until 2am every weekend.
Sundays will bring the altogether heavier ECLIPSE to Kensington it will feature live rock, punk and metal acts and also heavy rock DJs from 2pm until 1am weekly.
Sarah Pink of Peafish Promotions says “London needs a regular full on weekend rock venue and this is going to be it. We are in the lucky position of starting from scratch and can therefore establish regular themed nights, this means that customers will know exactly what they can expect to hear on any given night of the week Every night night will however have it’s roots in rock.”
The venue will also feature weekly acoustic nights as well as a weekly blues rock night and jam session.
The N28 night bus runs from outside the club into Camden town making homeward journeys cheap and easy.
