Yeah I think so, though I'm not sure whether there were enough in the end to actually make it stick.

This probably sounds arrogant, but as I once tried to explain to my Christian friend, I've never wanted to 'get to know' God because in my life I've never felt that I've needed to; I've never needed to put my faith in something that is essentially untouchable.
I remember reading a headline in the paper not long after the Tsunami happened, which read "Archbishop: This has made me question my faith" talking about the Tsunami disaster, and I just thought, how can someone justify that as part of God's plan, or god's action? It doesn't bother me because I don't believe there is a God to let that happen, but for those who do, it must be hard to justify. AND, if it ISN'T hard, then it should be!!

The afterlife? Erm my heart says that as spirits we live on after death- but a Heaven in the traditional sense that the christians speak of I'm highly skeptical of. In reality I think nothing happens, what lives on is what we affect and have an impact on in our life on earth.For example if you have children a little piece of you will live on forever with them ect ect...

I used to believe in some parts of the Christian faith, but I became a lasped catholic around 12 or something I just couldnt swallow alot of the dogma and religious faith that people have in things like the immaculate conception and parts fo Jesus' teaching.I liked the caring sharing Jesus but the vengeful and unforgiving parts of the faith really put me off.

Well i believe thereis alot more to life than we know or for that matter what our limited sciences can prove!

Religion can be looked at from 2 main angles,a)a security for ppl who need something to believe in as death woud be terrible if nothing would follow and ,b)indoctrinated nations on a planet with idealistics not too diferent when anaylised at the roots.

The further back in time we go the more ppl feared "God" and i put this down to the power and riches that the Churches possesed.They had the rght to Burn or execute you in any way in which they seen fit to purify you if you just thought something different.(How times change)

Now days we can choose what religion or beliefs we think is best for us if any.In the bible and other holy books like the Koran there is talk of spirits and indeed things that are evil which bring me to my next part of this speach :-)

There are things that we do not understand such as spirits.Maybe some day it will be explaind and seem perfectly rational to us all.
ouiji boards are a thing not to be played with and strange things do happen when in use and things can get out of control.
Exorcisms have taken place from the time of Jesus to present day even the late Pope John paul had performed such tasks.

I hear you say that Jesus did not exsist well even the ppl who hated him a the time of his life proved to be the ones who indeed did prove his exsistance and death on a cross as writings where found of a Roman man in times not long after the incident,in which he writes about a man they call Jesus........

To say that life is based on a forever evolving linguistic connection with all beings is not the whole truth (i hope i explained that bit rite) there is something beyond language!!

I wont talk much longer and i ill wait for other opinions but i want to say one thing.

Imagine knowing what we know about a nucleas,protons,neutrons and electrons and how they exsist in relation to eachother ...now look at how all the planets revolve around the sun trapped in what we call gravitational pull.is there a difference to our planet in a galaxy in a universe to protons, nutrons and electrons in a cell??

I believe we cant see past space simply because we are too small just as the spider or fly will never see outside the room it is in and the town it is in and indeed the planet it is on!!

WE ARE SO INSIGNIFICANT IN THE BIG PICTURE !!!

And one more thing what about the whole idea that we the human race could be an experiment of a superior alien race who want to watch and study evolution!An evolution that they want to learn about themselves but was simply lost in thier history. so we were made in thier form, only left on our own to evolve!!UNDER THIER WATCHING EYE!

no seriously, at the end of the day, each religion worships its own untouchable God, which is the foundation of that religion's existence. That's a large simlarity to have considering religions are so opposed to each other.
