1. Time to grow up

The recording of our album is complete - it's going to be called " Grown-Ups " and consists of 12 songs. No UK release date set as of yet, it will be early 2007 though. You will be able to get it in various other countries too. We'll be in touch.

2. A Free Period

As we've re-recorded all the previously released songs for the album, and for the benefit of those people who didn't get hold of our early 7" singles, in a surprising display of generosity you can download 7 of our early recordings for free! Go here... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1TXQ6XR5

3. 16 Love Songs

Angular Recording Corporation present their new label sampler on November 6th....it's called Future Love Songs and it includes 16 tracks of all your favourite bands like us, Klaxons, These New Puritans, The Long Blondes, The Violets, The Be Be See and many many more. Music Week this week were moved to include it in their tastemaker tips, trusting that The Lodger will "appeal to the indie purists"....

4. Jump on The Bandwagon(s)

This is one for Leeds folk - we are headlining at "Louder than Bombs" @ The Faversham next week - Tuesday 24th October, with support from Whiskey Dogs and Piskie Sits. It's £4 and it all kicks off around 8pm...we'll be on about 10pm.

Our set is being filmed as part of a new feature film called "The Bandwagons" which is being shot in Yorkshire currently, due for release next year.

The film is about "...a trio of bored friends who invent a pop band for their own amusement, then are slightly amazed when they become the Next Big Thing. Going from obscurity to mega-stardom in weeks, The BandWagons become the new darlings of the British music scene, hyped by the press and loved by fans. On the way up they meet and interact with a bevy of real bands, capturing them on the cusp of stardom. But they don't realise what a monster they've created.
The BandWagons is a comedy about fame, hype and reluctant stardom, as well as a snapshot of the current British indie music scene".

If you fancying getting your face in the film then come down to the gig. Should be fun.

I think that's about all for now.
