The first Friday night of this year's party season launches a new club PRONTO at The Monto in Kings Cross. Monthly, future buzz bands followed by best DJs. Photography invited. It kicks off on December 1st. This line up have all made their mark on this year, look out 2007!
THE SHAKES :
Catchy chorused pop with the swagger of Jagger. The buzz on The Shakes is largely due to their live show and they are amassing fans like wildfire (recently sold out The Borderline).
The single, Liberty Jones (recently No.1 in the podcast charts) is out now via Tough Cookie. Possibly the last chance to see them in London this year. http://www.myspace.com/theshakesmyspace
HEY GRAVITY! :
What a brilliant live band. What a first year! They've been ..Unsigned Artist Of The Week.. at Karmadownload, played the BPI's British Music Week (with Razorlight etc), bigged up,by Xfm guru John Kennedy and even appeared on Channel 4 TV... !
Glam Rockers supreme, works of art and also the UK's most exhibited band. Gracing the stage with their sleaze-infused showgirl punk. This year a sensation in NYC, at festivals and the coolest clubs and galleries.
"..look, sound and play the part of everything you.d expect of a rock band." (Who's Jack Magazine)
Their recent NYC trip was also adored. Music press, labels, a film crew checked them out. XM Radio said "the best live band since The Ramones".
WMK have been working on new material and return, ready to take on the world. "...like a gang of ASBOs doing the The Clash on karaoke" (Pulse). http://www.myspace.com/kamikazearmy
RICH PACK :
"Ultimate Rock'n Roll authenticity, that why he's the only D.J we have on tour with us" (Quireboys). Tart Rock's Superstar DJ is a designer, photographer and producer (Jezebel) who has rocked crowds from London to Hollywood and much more - including Notting Hill Festival, the Classic Rock Awards and the increasingly legendary Dirty Sounds club. Your host for the after show party...! http://www.myspace.com/richpack
