To prove that we're not afraid to leave London, Luxembourg are playing The Cluny in Newcastle-on-Tyne on Saturday 27th May. That's a couple of weeks before our next single is released. Other bands include The Spies and Tens & Units (who I've heard good things about).

We'd like to make a bit more of the trip and play in northern England on Sunday 28th and Monday 29th too, if at all possible. Can anyone help? Anyone like to book us?

Unfortunately we're not putting any gigs on that weekend as The Long Blondes are playing on the Thursday which will be the talk of the town for at least a week afterwards!

Good luck finding some gigs though - Leeds and Manchester are probably your best bet. You could try Preston:

Thanks to Jared, we're now playing at The Howard in Sheffield on Monday 29th May. So we're now just after a gig for Sunday 28th, probably in Leeds or Manchester.

By the way, it occurs to me that we haven't announced the single. Well, it's We Only Stayed Together For The Kids, and it's out on 12th June on 7", CD and MP3. The solitary B-side is A Secret Public. It's great and you should buy it. Obviously.

Are you playing the upper or lower floor of the pub? The top floor is absolutely tiny and useless, though the ground floor is fairly pleasant and everyone can sit around at the tables and drink down there.

Actually, it's pretty crappy for beer too that place. You shoulda asked to try and get the DnR Live, which is IMO a much better venue for small bands in Sheffield (and isn't in an out of town area. edit: and serves Hobgoblin)
