So Lost was awesome? What a fantastic series. The simple genius of being miles over the top outlandish yet somehow getting away with it. Anything can happen. ANYTHING.
Roll on series 2 - Channel 4 blatantly scared of everyone d/l it from US and hurrying the 2nd series on our tvs.

HAW!

SERIES 2 IS BACK on terrestrial TV. It's been 3 and a half months judging by my last post in this thread. I can't believe it's finally back, no more taunting from all the people downloading it early, because i don't care anymore!

Tonight's double bill was catastrophically addictive. Simply brilliant. I'm only not watching episode 3 of series 2 on E4 because I just had to get online to vent some emotion (slight contradiction I realise).

I hope people are going to watch this because Lost is BACK!

edit: well, Channel 4 didn't exaclty rush it back, but I have managed to cope for 3 and a half months.

Woo! We know what's down the shaft! Woo! This is so going to help me through revision.

so episode....5 tonight, and it got really good again after last week's pretty average one.

There's just so much to everything, it really is a fantasic series.

but it makes me so glad I haven't watched ahead and downlaoded from the US. I know I've got 20 more episodes to enjoy in open-mouthed awe.

if the budget wasn't so bloody big, it'd suck. considering the size of hte budget, they coulda at least hired script writers capable of decent dialogue.

it's not really too original (people on island, oh noes - a monster!)

the way theyre concentrating on the relationships between people is plausible i suppose, but it's just mindless viewing so far, nothing special. much of it is cliched and predictable, with a few half-assed plot-twists.

the ch4 version was edited too much cos it was before the watershed too.

And:
I'm not just quoting this beause it's richey, I'd have quoted it whoever, but the absolute understatement of 2005 as it turned out. biggrin.gif

The script's still need tightening up, I agree, everything else though completely blown out of the water.
"We don't go that way".
"Why not?"
"That's where they come from".

I cannot believe I am the only person watching Lost.

Mike- 06-07-2006
That's it, I've given series 2 a chance and I just cannot be bothered to attempt to enjoy this series, it's just far too ridiculous. That sound that the other lot hear? That's not the sound of The Others, it's the sound of a million jumping sharks.

B1oodFlower- 06-07-2006
Yeah I watched a few and was enjoying it but then the last few have just lost me, all the buisness in the woods, flashing back and forth to their pasts ect ect I just can't keep up.

culture_slut- 06-07-2006
I finally realised that I'm never going to get any answers.

Now I'm crossing my fingers that in the end Jack wakes up Dallas/Crossroads-stylee on the plane and realises it was all a dream.

Love_Libs- 06-07-2006
Series 2 really hasn't been that hard to follow so far?

Love all the little references such as Boone being on the end of the radio and hearing that again in this series.

Just got better again yesterday. No, Tuesday. I couldn't resist the E4 episode as it loked great, and it was.

Which episode was that? The one where Claire went back to the place she was taken to when she was abducted? If so, did you notice the stick on beard they found? I think the plot is becoming clearer with each episode.

(I can't believe you still watch it, I thought I was the only one rolleyes.gif )

Love_Libs- 07-29-2006
nah i'm not up with that one yet. Lucky you didn't say any more. I'll watch out for the beard though - this episode sounds awesome (Russuea's back story! Yes!)

I'm trying to watch them all on Channel4 until the last episode.

I honestly think, despite the script, the amount of thought behind this series is astonishing. I love it so much.

In the first series I just thought that maybe the writers made the story up as they went along, but now it is becoming obvious that ALOT of thought went into it from the start

so, this finishes tonight with a 2 hour finale on CH4. "prepare to have the few certainties about the island wholly recast" says the Telegraph.

I really think that, when it finishes in 3 series time or whatever, people will look back at LOST and say it is one of the best programmes in TV history. It's actually the best.
