Talk about attempting to jump on a bandwagon too late!!!

This album isn't a cash in, Ceri and Christy who have put this album together have been promoting in New Cross for years and last year brought out Unplugged In New Cross which featured Art Brut.

The albums worth a Fiver and features some of the bands currently playing around New Cross.

In that case, I take back the laughter, but would suggest I'm not the only person that would react in this way.

The NME made the phrase "New Cross scene" mean something, which of course leads to it becoming meaningless equally quickly. It may be being done for the right reasons, but IMHO this just makes it look as if it's trying to be something that you suggest it's not!

That's part of the reason that the NME is so shite - it actually manages to do more damage than good to a lot of music these days, with only a few bands coming out the other end.

This compilation is about the real New Cross. It has nothing to do with the NME. Anyone who ignores it is missing out on some really good bands.
