GIITTV is three years old to celebrate we decided to compile a compilation of unsigned and small label acts. Upon completition this CD will reflect the brilliant blend of indie, art rock, alternative, punk, that exists below the mainstream in this country. We are sick and tired of being forcefed middle of the road dross, this is an antidote to that reflecting the thriving unsigned reviews section that has been at the core of what our Zine is about over the years. The Cd will literally have only been made possible by the bands contributions and efforts it is truely a combined effort. The profits will go to charity.

Just to make sure you know, we are "The Psychotic Reaction", not "Psychotic Reaction". The definite article is important, particuarly as there is a US punk band called "Psychotic Reaction". We have a better claim to the name in the UK anyway, but they have a better claim in US territories.

There was also a mod-revival band from Derby called "The Psychotic Reaction". I think they've split up now as I haven't heard anything from them for years. We adopted the slashed o characters to differentiate ourselves from them, but we're more relaxed about it these days.

More news on this comp to follow, I want to do a different kind of press release where each band has a few sentances to describe their track or what they where trying to do with the track...I think it will be better than me trying to convince people how good each song is...

Sorry Bill, I've only just noticed this, but isn't it a bit whack to have The Swear, The Sailplanes and The Shake in sequence on the comp?

Hmm maybe, I hadn't even thought about it, but it works in that order, plus you are all different bands. I know the "THE" bands in a row reads funny but it sounds good in that order.

I have just sent it off to be levelled the tracklisting might be able to be changed though, ill talk to Mark after he's heard it and given me a second opinion.
