GIITTV@THE METRO IN AID OF BATTERSEA DOGS HOME.
2nd of September, The Metro, London.

THE INDELICATES, since their Brighton debut last september, have rapidly been establishing themselves as one of the most exciting new bands in the UK. Essentially the joint project of Simon (well-known in Brighton as a poet, singer/songwriter and author of musicals) and Julia Indelicate (a gifted photographer who resigned her post in sixties-girl-band tribute act, The Pipettes, last march), The Indelicates write accomplished songs that sit somewhere between folk and stadium rock with an incisive, genuinely intelligent lyrical sensibility. They've been tipped by everyone from Maps to Rolling Stone, come and see one of 2006's most exciting new bands.

'Neo-Brecht/Weill theatricality? Check. Profane razor strop wit? Check. Irreverent misanthropy? Check. Scathing socio-cultural critiques? Check. Acid sweet indiepop songcraft? Check. Meet the first Great band of 2006, the fabulously unfashionable, unfashionably fabulous Indelicates.' (Rolling Stone)

‘Stunning’ they ‘share their sharp wit and social commentary with 90s brainiacs Black Box Recorder, but soften it with a spoonful of Belle & Sebastian’s twee-yet-epic ensemble indie’. (NME)

THE BRIDGE GANG winners of GIITTV ZINE’S unsigned demo of 2005 award, have been creating a real buzz in the capital this year. With a new single set for a release soon, this bands tuneful mix of the Clash and the Libertines is sure to delight everyone!
“London Sky Tonight, is an opening track simply oozing with quality. Though it’s sort of Strokes-y, there’s so much more. Clever chord changes, a superb vocal performance, and an overall atmosphere which makes London Sky Tonight put a smile on your face. It’s just brilliant; you’ll have to listen to it. The Bridge Gang’s demo is, at last, something different and fresh, with songs to put some prominent artists to shame. It must be onwards and upwards from here.”( GIITTV ZINE)

Like the Frosties ad says...
"It's gonna be great! It's gonna be great!"...

Tim sailplane- 07-12-2006
When's the compilation launch show gonna be then?

Hehe I'll stop stirring now.

B1oodFlower- 07-12-2006
Heh.
When I can find a venue, any help apreciated.

Love_Libs- 07-12-2006

Sad Gnome Records is pleased to announce their first release: The
Indelicates' debut
single, "We Hate The Kids". A coruscating, literate and angry song –
the single typifies
The Indelicates' approach to making modern pop music. It is backed on
the B-side by
"Burn All The Photographs", a vitriolic essay on the immorality of documentary
photography.

Top producer on that track. I can't make the gig I'll be at my 5th Wedding of the summer.

Arran- 07-14-2006
They sound amazing Andy P.

Les played me them.

Jim Rhesus- 07-18-2006
This will be a top night, it was going to be the comp launch party but bill rightly said that there are no bands on the compilation playing.
We will be promoting the comp there though!

LiamMc- 07-18-2006
Just listening to The Indelicates now; sound okay. I'll definitely be there, and as usual if you need any help just ask.

B1oodFlower- 07-18-2006
Yeah Liam , cool we might need your help.

Just waiting on one band then the bills complete.

LiamMc- 07-18-2006
No problem. The Metro is a great venue too.
