Nice taste in music!

And, if I'm correct, your name comes from my favourite R.E.M. song.

Electrolyte- 02-23-2006
heh, thanks!
Yes 'Electrolyte' was taken from the R.E.M song but its a bit of a misnomer as we don't really sound much like them. We dropped the 'i' in favour of a 'y' to put people of the scent. obviously you're just too sharp for us!
I looked at your myspace page, and the music section reads almost identically to my itunes (with a few notable exceptions - really don't like the rolling stones). I went to see the concretes last night, actually. They brought on the magic numbers for the encore which was quite cool (i'm not actually that fussed about the magic numbers, but it did liven up the atmosphere a bit).
O

Welcome Owen, nice taste in music there, post lots! I did have a listen to your myspace the other day but I'll refresh my mind!

South London.
Human Rights/Psychology 2nd year student at Roehampton Uni.
For the sake of brevity, my musical tastes are fairly comprehensively listed on my Myspace page, so read away, if you so wish.

I'm here via the Bridge Gang. I like to imagine that a bond was formed when one of my friends started chasing José (or rather, his hair) around at the Barfly (Corporation:Blend's single launch) last year.

So... Yeah.

Thankyou, but I just changed it. laugh.gif

Didn't want to overdose on the Radiohead imagery.

In case people are wondering, it was this:

Hey, welcome. I've never heard the Decemberists song on your Myspace page before, is it on an album?

You can never have too much Radiohead imagery!

Apology Song is apparently from 'Five Songs', which I'm assuming is an EP.

All my Decemberists stuff is 100% ripped off, so I'm not really sure about anything.
Legitimately ripped off, I should state. I tried to buy their albums, but was faced with only one on sale, which was at import prices, and bugger that.

B1oodFlower- 02-25-2006
I've heard of that track, yeah I also think its on that ep...

Hello, sorry I'm late... excuse me, sorry... if I could just get to my seat... thank you, sorry, excuse me...

Hi. I'm Kate and I'm from... Manchester!!!
<cue rapturous Blind Date style cheering>

Actually, have just realised that's a bit of a lie. I'm from London but have lived in Manchester for 10 years. As those of you read my really random post elsewhere will already know!

I'm 28. Eek! When did *that* happen? But I'm alright, honest. I still eat kebabs, hate James Blunt and drink so much I get sick. Not that that's cool or anything.

I'm a writer / editor of sorts. although not for anything groovy like a magazine. I write copy for websites / brochures etc and also educational books, but only for really wee children (KS1 and 2).

I like Good Shoes!! Huzzah! And not just cos my brother is the guitarist. They rock. And that is how I found out about The Bridge Gang. Not had a chance to see them live and I've only heard the myspace stuff, but what I've heard I really like.

I like a lot of stuff, musically, but I always forget things when telling people, so here is a random selection: Good Shoes (did I mention them already wink.gif), Cable (disbanded band, but I really liked them), TV On The Radio, Regina Spektor, I really loved a Decemberists song I heard, but I've only heard the one, used to be mad on REM and Therapy? when I was little, also flirted with Manics (mainly Holy Bible) and Radiohead. Liking the Long Blondes Once and Never Again song.... ooops, lunch is over must stop now. sorry for wibbling!!!!

Do you know Miriam Miller, Stephen Bray or any of their various friends?

Check out Billy Ruffian if you're not already aware of them. They're a new and exciting Manchester band.

B1oodFlower- 03-03-2006
I know them!

dr_gavin- 03-03-2006
