I'm always on the look out for good new bands to listen to so if anyone's got any reccommendations let me know smile.gif

Welcome to all the newish members (tashy, Clark & Sarah) smile.gif

A new feature along these lines (talking about new bands) could be appearing on the site in the not too distant future Clark, so keep your eyes peeled.

I'm Jez, I'm a young ideological gun with nowhere to go pretty much. In a band now, and trying to make a difference with words and tunes, but also active with a lot of other things (e.g. Fairtrade campaigning at uni & at home). I've got a way with words (except for keeping my mouth shut) and wrote a few reviews for my local scene a while back, so maybe when I get into London again I might write for GIITTV if they'd have me. For now though it's just a novel I'm trying to promote and electronic art which I might share on here soon.
I'm short and healthy and have small ears. There.

Nice to be on a forum buzzing with people interested in interesting things. Hi everyone smile.gif

Welcome Jez,

Iv got someone reading and hopefully reviewing your book for us. There must be some kind of site where you can sell your ebook?

Jez451- 06-30-2005
Well you would've thought so but I've not seen anywhere convincing yet (either of success or attitude). Might set my own thing up with a collaborative and independent theme. Do need other people for that though huh.gif

Cheers for that Bill, although remember that's only the first chapter you've got there - I'll send over the other 15 in a minute!

You could set up your own website I guess and publish the chapters, I dont know.

You can write for GIITTV if you want we are looking to expand to have book, and cultural comment too. As well as all the musical stuff we do of course.

Seems a bit odd doing this after 200+ posts, but I never saw it before.

I finished a Geophysics degree from Durham University exactly a year ago, got a shit job in a call centre to pay off uni debt and also finance a 2 month sojourn to the US & Canada, which I got back from a couple of weeks ago. Going to Leeds in September for a masters in Geophysics, after that, who knows. And I LOVE music. And rugby.

Wow! I bet it was. I have a sort of fascination with bears in general. Spectacle bears are probably my favourite but Panda's are great too. They should probably stop being so picky, but it's so cool how they twirl the bamboo into a cigar shape to eat it. I also admire their extravagant urinating style.

Oh, and welcome Chris.

here's my dashing self with a baby panda called lousheng.

you're damn right about the bamboo thing liam, they kinda bite bits off and keep them in their mouth until theres a load, then eat it like a banana.
