hello, i am richard, i enjoy long walks on the beach and the company of large, burly german men: they wield such mighty sausages. i was enticed to come hither by mikemike, who used his lovemaking prowess (used in conjunction with a barry white soundtrack) to lure me.

london, well...ruislip.. in the holidays... and farnham in surrey in term times.

i saw an advert for the g-spot festival... i cant quite remember where... so i trundled along and joined this here forum ohmy.gif)
i came close to replying to the bright eyes posts and the willy mason ones in the music discussion section, but then wasnt sure if there was any sort of set etiquette [sp?] so decided to introduce myself here first.
the all dayer looks very cool indeed and will shortly be on the phone to a friend asking for company. hoorah!

if anyone gets bored in the mean time, my bands website is http://www.carmichaelmusic.co.uk
although almost certainly un-updated... but if anyone likes acoustic music... sort of bright eyes, cat power sort of stuff... were playing quite a lot in the upcoming months: venues such as the lark in the park, the hope and anchor... the spice of life...amongst others. [all london based] so, if you fancy an evening of calm... sort of quiet... sort of music, e-mail us at contactcarmichael@hotmail.com and ill let you know details.

and now i shall stop talking.
and maybe post in some other places.
yes, so, hooray for the all dayer. and sorry for rambling ohmy.gif)

Welcome. Your band sounds like my sort of thing. I'll give 'em a listen when I've escaped from the dark realms of Exmoor.

Oh, and Richard: get posting, you badger-obsessed fool!

Badger Obsessed.... say you ain't my dad are you?

He's the only person I know who's obsessed with Badgers... and surely there can't be two people on this world obsessed with them ?

lickmyninefool- 01-03-2005
if only more people were obsessed with badgers the world would be greatly enriched. you could all learn something from bill oddie

Paul- 01-06-2005
did you know badgers have square fur?

dogtanian- 01-06-2005
helloey helloey helloey mrs hat...

er, yes, quite a few of you know me anyway (hello arran, jim, paul, wayne, katybee, bill, emmaaaah etc) but here's my introductionium.

harriette/harrie/dogtanian/dt/clart/narpoople (no, i have no idea either)/oi!
28.5 years of age (more than i thought i'd ever get to wacko.gif )
place: saaf laahnden innit geezer
stuff: p/t work in publishing co doing facilities (dropping the last 't' is obligatory) and p/t degree in politics, philosophy and history (possibly the wordiest subjects EVER and i have soooo much reading sad.gif )

what i loikes: moozic: the wurzels, cheeky girls, him what did shaddap ya face, tweets, mr blobby, st winifred's school choir, anything that sounds good in a lift/supermarket giittv/xmashat.gif . oh and rhesus tongue.gif

what i reads: books. mainly about russian labour camps. and stuff. and uni stuff. at the moment it's locke's 2nd treatise on civil government and also habermas' thesis on the structural transformation of the bourgeois public sphere woo fucking hoo.

other shit: i like long baths with a book and the radio on. i like tea, half tea half milk (actually slightly more milk than tea) with 2 sugars, i (L) strawberry nesquik, i like v milky sugary coffee, i love to sleep, i like to sit in bad reading with nesquik. i like lame tv. i also like some decent tv. and i like arran being very patient when he's trying to teach me drumming and i'm cocking up big style smile.gif

caveat: i actually don't like any of that music (apart from rhesus), i like manics, joy division, franz, charlatans, clash, certain ratio, half man half biscuit (i'm told there's another person on here who loves them, i need to meet a like minded soul!), 10,000 maniacs and lots more. and cheesy pop: take that, s club, spice girls, girls aloud and so forth
