other: I have a degree in journalism from Staffordshire uni and I adore Douglas Coupland novels. Without wishing to sound bombastic or pompous, the main thing at the epicentre of my soul is a profound ambition to do something positive for this world and its inhabitants

Anyway, I'm Benjamin (but you can call me Ben if you want!), I'm 19, and studying for a degree in Economic and Social studies at The University of Manchester (Originally from Liverpool, but I prefer to be seen as an honourary Mancunian!)

1. Did you know that the etimology of the name 'Jared' means "a command, a coming down"? I think that may be why DC called his character just that (it fits in with his role at the end of the book).

2. You should be proud of your Scouse roots, Liverpool is the best city I've been to for a night out (and I've been to a good few). I went to uni in Stoke on Trent (easily England's worst city) and I wouldn't wanna be classed as an honourary Stokie!
