I was thinking about flms that are kind of lost when they first get released but build a cult following later on DVD/VHS. One such is Office Space, I stumbled across it on BBC2 a few weeks ago, its created and directed by Mike Judge of Beavis and Butthead fame, its about a bunch of office workers that rebel against their boss, really anarchic, quirky, alienated, hilarity ensues:

I saw Equilibrium the other day and I feel that's probably been forgotten.

Christian Bale is also rather lovely.
