The neck is thinner on the gibbo and it feels a lot more solid on the build side. Pickups vastly different too.

I've a friend who swears by old Japanese Westones. This thunder II with active electronics he has sounds absolutely monstrous.

I've always been more of a Fender/Hagstrom guy though. This new guitar is a bit of a departure.
