“Wow, I didn’t know he could sing like that!” said a member of the Audience at the GSPOT event earlier this month.
In October 005, used to singing backing vocals and playing bass/guitar in cult rock bands, Dexy got on a stage with Michael Nebraska and dared to sing. The effect his honey toned vocals and soul prodding tunes had, probably astonished him as much as everybody else.
Six months later, and he’s much in demand with even Elliott Smith’s band among those singing his praises. In the mean time, Dexy sings his songs. Plays guitar (solo, or with classic tunesmiths, Nebraska)
